Who We Are

The JD-MBA Association consists of all students (affectionately known as "J's") who are currently enrolled in the Northwestern University JD-MBA program, a joint degree between Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and the Kellogg School of Management. The Association is led by an Executive Board of JD-MBA students whose goal is to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all JD-MBA students, within cohorts and across class years. Each year, the Executive Board works with both schools' administrations to help set the strategic vision for the program and to resolve any frictions that JD-MBA students experience. Additionally, with the help of our sponsor firms, the Association runs a number of events that:

Help build community and camaraderie amongst JD-MBA students

Support JD-MBA's in academic and career planning

Demonstrate the importance of having a fundamental understanding of both law and business, and

Bring in guest speakers for both the Kellogg and Pritzker communities

Pillars of the Association

Community & Inclusion:

All members of the JD-MBA community should feel included and actively supported academically, professionally, and personally.

The Association shall strive to achieve racial and gender diversity that is representative of the US population. Insofar as that is not achieved, it is the responsibility of the Board and the Association to raise the issue with administration and push for increased representation.

Professional Development:

The Association shall leverage and provide the best resources, tools, events and sponsorship across the law and business schools to help each JD-MBA candidate's recruiting experience to be successful.

Impact:

The Association shall be present and engaged at both the law school and business school. Our size should not determine our impact.

The Association should serve as a conduit between Pritzker and Kellogg, ensuring that unique ideas, networks, and resources are shared between the two communities.
