Professional Development

  • Speaker Series with Industry Leaders:  Host executive healthcare speakers to share their experiences, insights and views on timely healthcare topics.
  • Mini-Med Schools:  Conducted by a physician and a corporate sponsor and provide students with an overview of a disease state and medical products and devices that are used in treatment.
  • Day at Company Events:  On-site company sponsored visits.
  • Company & Hospital Tours:  Visits to local healthcare companies and provider facilities give club members a chance to see these organizations in action and learn more about career opportunities within different sectors of healthcare.

Social

  • Networking Nights:  Casual occasions for club members to connect with and get to know other students who are interested in healthcare.
  • Alumni Mixer:  Kellogg alumni and students get together for an opportunity to learn and network.
  • Faculty Lunches:  Opportunities to interact with Kellogg faculty members.
 

Recruiting

  • Prepare: Interface with the Career Management Center and 2nd year students to learn what healthcare internships and full-time positions look like for Kellogg students; Prepare a healthcare-focused resume with the help of Club-led resume reviews.
  • Learn: Attend company events to learn about specific opportunities; Network with Kellogg alumni and 2nd year students who interned in healthcare to obtain company-specific perspectives; Do a healthcare “boot camp” to get a crash course about different functional positions in each sector of healthcare.
  • Interview: Prepare to ace your interviews by participating in a healthcare interview prep group (IPG) and/or get paired with a Kellogg alumni mentor currently working at the company of your dreams.
  • Get Ready: Now that you have your dream healthcare internship / job locked down, come learn from alumni and student career panels what it takes to hit the ground running and stand out.

  • Interface with Department: Become familiar with Health Enterprise Management professors and academic opportunities.
  • Case Competitions: Sponsored by firms and provide hands-on, real-time exposure to business problems along with the opportunity to win generous prizes.
  • Healthcare 101 Series: Designed to introduce Kellogg students to the underlying principles that drive the many facets of the healthcare industry; Help 1st year students decide whether to pursue a career in healthcare.

 

Healthcare Treks

  • Student-led visits to innovative and influential healthcare companies across the country for the purpose of education and networking. This program allows companies to conveniently access Kellogg talent, build their brand, and strengthen the overall relationship with the school. Visits may consist of company tours, employee panels, discussion of industry trends, and career advice for MBAs looking to break into the industry and location.
