Are the Manbassadors their own club or affiliated with the WBA?

The Manbassadors are a sub-club of the WBA. We work in close partnership with the WBA, but our target audience is the male ally population.

Why do we need Manbassadors as a sub-club of the WBA?

  1. If we’re ever going to achieve gender parity, we need men in on the conversation.
  2. Men don’t read the WBA newsletter… most of the events are for women.
  3. There are different conversations to be had with men about gender – e.g. how to speak up around “locker room talk”.

What are the Manbassadors planning for the year?

  1. Events which feature real stories from Kellogg women, which provide tactical advice on how to be a great male ally, and which offer good old camaraderie.
  2. Newsletter content which ain’t just a list of events. We’re planning practical tips, workplace and Kellogg scenarios, stories from fellow students, examples of Manbassadors stepping up and doing well, facts and figures, and more. It’ll be short, interesting, and practical.
Can women be Manbassadors?

Our target audience is allies, but women may certainly join the club, receive newsletters, attend the vast majority of events, and engage with Manbassadors about gender-related topics.
