Events we host

The Entrepreneurship Club is one of the largest and most active clubs on campus with over several hundred active student members. We host a number of recurring events in to help promote entrepreneurship in the Kellogg Community:

Distinguished Entrepreneur Speaker Series

This series brings in accomplished entrepreneurs to Kellogg to share their experiences and inspire entrepreneurship as a potential career path. Past speakers include founders of DoubleClick, Sum Zero, Warby Parker, Hotels Tonight, Dashfire, Bucketfeet, Cards Against Humanity, and many many more.

Entrepreneurship Education Series

This series brings in though leaders on topics including web development, SEO/SEM, entrepreneurial law, selling, angel/VC investing, pitching, and other topics to help empower students to become entrepreneurs while at Kellogg.

Entrepreneur In Residence Program

The Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) program brings in weekly leaders from the Chicago community to host a series of one-on-one 30-min office hours with students to talk about business ideas, career plans, or anything else on student's minds.

Libations & Lightbulbs Series

A quarterly networking event hosted by the eClub and other clubs across the Northwestern campus in different disciplines including design, engineering, and computer science. The event typically includes a 'chair pitch' session for students to pitch business ideas and get feedback.

Chicago Community Events

We regularly host events in downtown Chicago at 1871 and other venues to connect Kellogg students to the Chicago start-up community and other local universities.

Chicago, NYC, and San Francisco Career Treks

Annual student run trips to visit early stage ventures in the top start-up communities in the US. Past treks have included company visits to Facebook, LightBank, 1871, AdMob, HomeLight, Uber, One Kings Lane, GigWalk, SandBox Industries, Prosper, and many more. It's a great networking and learning opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs and those seeking start-ups as a career path.

Social Events

The club hosts regular social events for club members, alumni, and the Kellogg Community. We also co-host an annual TG event (Kellogg's weekly happy hour) with the Tech Club.

Startup NU

A weekend long business plan competition held in the fall and used as a live application to the NUvention Web course in the Winter/Spring quarters.
