BRING YOUR STAGE PASS WITH YOU

Two ways to bring your STAGE PASS:

  • You can PRINT your STAGE PASS and bring it with you to be scanned before you cross the stage.
  • You can DOWNLOAD your STAGE PASS on your phone in your Wallet and it will be scanned before you cross the stage.

You can be ready with BOTH - even better!

STAGE PASS - INFORMATION:

Your self-recording or system phonetic spelling of your name is then used to record your name by a professional speaker.

Your unique QR CODE will be scanned just before you cross the stage and your name will be announced by the professional speaker while your name is shown on the big screen.

You will walk across the stage and stand for a moment as you are greeted by Dean Cornelli and enjoy a photo moment as the professional photographer takes a photo.

  • What happens if I miss the deadline and do not check or record my name?

Your full name is in our system so the professional reader will use your phonetic spelling to pronounce and record your name. Your name will appear on the monitor as it is in our system.

We cannot add any information or add names after the deadline.

  • Will my voice be heard when I have my QR code scanned to walk across the stage?

No, your voice recording will not be heard. Your voice recording is only used for the professional speaker to listen to the correct way your full name should be pronounced. Your name will be pre-recorded by a professional speaker and announced after you have your QR code scanned as you are about to cross the stage.

  • Do I have a choice to not record my name?

Yes, you have the option of not recording your name. You will still need to bring your STAGE PASS with you, either on your phone wallet or printed, so that your name can be announced as you walk across the stage.

  • Do I need to check in with my STAGE PASS and line up in a procession at the Kellogg Convocation ceremony?

No, you do not need to check in at convocation. You will see signs outside of the building(s) directing you to the graduates entrance at Welsh-Ryan arena. After you enter the building make your way to the center of the arena. Grads are free to sit in the general seating area chairs with their classmates on the arena floor. Have your STAGE PASS ready on your phone or printed as soon as speeches are wrapping up. Graduates' names are called when their QR code is scanned when they walk to the stage.

  • What happens after I scan my QR Code as I am about to step up on stage?

Your row will line up to process towards the stage. Each grad will have their STAGE PASS ready either on their phone or printed. You will hand it to the attendant on stage who will then scan your QR code. Your name will be announced as you are to walk across the stage to Dean Cornelli where you will pause and shake her hand as the professional photographer takes a photo, then you will process across the stage to exit.
