Highlighted below are some of the amazing organizations that have participated in Kellogg Cares Day event:
 

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Chicago - For more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country. The organization develops positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
  • Curt’s Café - Curt’s Café is a non-profit organization that provides training, in food service and life skills, for at-risk youth in Evanston.
  • Junior Achievement - For 75 years, Junior Achievement of Chicago has been getting professionals into the inspiration business by teaching school kids the real-world skills they need to succeed.
  • Center for Independent Futures - Center for Independent Futures is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities live full and more independent lives. 
  • Blessings in a Backpack - Blessings in a Backpack provides elementary schoolchildren who are on the federal Free and Reduced Price Meal Program with a backpack of food to take home for 38 weekends during the school year. Backpack food includes easy-to-prepare, ready-to-eat foods, such as granola bars, juice boxes, mac and cheese, and oatmeal.
  • Alliance for the Great Lakes - For more than 40 years, the Alliance has stood to conserve and restore the world’s largest surface freshwater resource using policy, education and citizen involvement. The Alliance works hard with its strong volunteer network of residents, teachers, scientists and businesses to sustain and preserve the region for all generations.
  • One Goal Graduation - One Goal's mission is to close the college divide by enlisting and training our nation's best educators to teach historically underserved high school students how to enroll in and complete college. 
  • Women’s Club of Evanston - The WCE is dedicated to community service, philanthropic work and friendship and boasts more than 350 members from the North Shore, Chicago and surrounding communities.  Last year, the club raised more than $300,000 for and contributed more than 15,000 volunteer hours for local organizations.
  • Ronald McDonald House - The mission of the Ronald McDonald House is to care for families of children with complex medical needs by providing comfort, compassion and a sense of community.  Ronald McDonald House keeps families of hospitalized children together in a ‘home away from home’.
