Investment Banking Case Study by Robert W. Baird & Co. Baird will present a case study of its sale of Emerson Electric's (NYSE: EMR) Motors and Controls division to Nidec Corp. (NYSE: NJ), a Japanese Conglomerate. Baird will review the reason Emerson chose Baird for the sale over several other middle market and bulge bracket investment banks, the sale process that included several strategic and financial sponsor buyers, and what led to a successful sale to Nidec. Baird bankers will also provide time to answer questions students may have about middle market banking, Baird, and the role of an associate.
