Baird will present a case study of its sale of Emerson Electric's (NYSE: EMR) Motors and Controls division to Nidec Corp. (NYSE: NJ), a Japanese Conglomerate. Baird will review the reason Emerson chose Baird for the sale over several other middle market and bulge bracket investment banks, the sale process that included several strategic and financial sponsor buyers, and what led to a successful sale to Nidec.
