Hungry Geishas and Starving Samurais,

Sizzling Kobe beef that melts in your mouth from all the massages it received.  The comforting aroma of freshly cooked yakisoba noodles mixed with vegetables and a light sauce.  Delicate cuts of salmon on glistening sticky rice for the perfect bite of sushi.  Careful, you may want to wipe that drool off your Ipad now.  Japan is known throughout the world for having some of the most amazing food and JClub would like to invite you and your friends to enjoy some of it HOME COOKED by us at the Asian Food festival.  Stay hungry.  Stay awesome.

Did you know? "Fishing of saury is facilitated by their attraction to light. Thus, a common way of catching them is to affix powerful lighting fixtures with a number of 500 W blue or white lamps to one side of a boat, and some weaker red lamps to the other. When fish congregate under the stronger white lamps, the lighting is switched to the other side, where the fish – often the whole school – are collected in nets." - Wikipedia

Japan's New Tech Generation - NYTimes
Japan Club

"Every Wednesday, a bar in central Tokyo hosts an unusual speed-dating event. There are drinks and plenty of coy looks. But the young people at the bar aren’t here for romance. As Japan’s aging tech giants like Sony and Panasonic continue to falter, a new generation of Japanese technology entrepreneurs is stepping up. While their numbers are small compared to those in the United States, they are turning to a bevy of start-up incubators and even to financing from Silicon Valley. And so-called start-up dating salons, like the bar in central Tokyo, are helping to match would-be collaborators."
