Can algorithms replace intuition in Big Data?
Search for suppressed patterns that have some kind of predictive power is at the root of Big Data Analysis. But, identifying the ‘features’ contained in the data that needs further examination usually calls for some amount of human intuition. The focus of MIT researchers was to eliminate the human intuition aspect from big data analysis using an innovative approach that would hunt not just for patterns, but also design the feature set.
