The goal of the Kellogg mentors program is to provide guidance to undergraduate students pursuing careers in business and to foster stronger relations between Kellogg and Northwestern University as a whole. Kellogg Mentors have a significant impact on the Northwestern Undergraduates. They offer advice on potential career paths, review resumes, discuss interview strategies, and provide general guidance as students transition to the working world. In turn, the club provides Kellogg students the opportunity to give back in a meaningful way to the Northwestern community. Because the involvement of mentors is so flexible in terms of timing and location, the club also includes Kellogg students who might not have otherwise been able to volunteer with an organization.

Prepare Kellogg students to be socially responsible leaders through academic training in board governance and experiential learning through service on non-profit boards
program componentsFellows participate in the following program components:
Founded by three students in 2003, the Board Fellows Program began with a 5-week board governance course and matching Kellogg MBA candidates with boards of Chicago area nonprofit organizations. In 2004, an application process was created and a small group began to meet to discuss their experiences. In 2005, the Social Impact Club won an award for the innovative KBF program. With a significant increase in marketing in 2006, applications doubled and admissions began reading about the program in applications. In the most recent application process which recruited the 07-08 class, over 120 Kellogg students applied for 45 fellowship positions. Currently, the Fellows meet monthly for both large group sessions and small group sessions, of which there are three groups of 15 people led by three different facilitators. KBF has also shared best practices with younger fellows programs at other business schools.
