We are driven to bring students together with industry leaders to network and discuss the opportunities and challenges with the Automotive Mobility Industry. We provide channels for learning about the rapid change in the space as well as the sharing of new ideas with the unique Kellogg environment. Our goal is to generate excitement about the space and provide our members the resources and connections to become the future leaders and entrepreneurs of mobility companies.

To achieve this, we coordinate a variety of services and activities: · Social events that encourage exchange with others · Club trips to various automotive events · Information for recruiting in the industry · Expertise in the latest news and trends for Kellogg Students · Exposure to ideas and leaders via student panels and industry speakers

The Basketball Club exists so that members of the Kellogg community can learn more about the game of basketball and have scheduled times for pick-up games at SPAC and Blomquist Gym and participate in tournaments throughout the year. Join the #basketball channel on slack to get notified about pick-up games.

We play frequently during the school year from 3PM to 5PM in Blomquist Gymnasium (located directly west of The Jacobs Center on Foster Avenue across Sheridan Road).

We also organize the annual 'Running With the Bulls' game against The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.  Check out pictures from last year's game in the 'Photos' section!

MISSION

The Mission of the Kellogg Black Management Association is to develop Black leaders within the community through professional and personal initiatives that create a supportive environment; enhance career development; and attract top talent. We also utilize our active membership, extensive alumni base, and rich history, to support the development, network, and community of our members.

• Foster an environment amongst the BMA community that encourages empowerment, teamwork, leadership, academic excellence, and immersion in the greater Kellogg community;


• Execute high-quality, enlightening programs and events that strengthen the BMA Community and build the BMA brand;


• Partner with the Admissions Office to continually increase the number of African-Americans and people of African descent enrolling in Kellogg;


• Provide tools and resources to prepare students for the career search, planning and advancement process during and beyond Kellogg;


• Build a support system for our membership throughout their time at Kellogg and the rest of their professional careers;


• Represent the concerns of the BMA Community to Faculty & Staff to refine the Kellogg experience for all parties involved and gather feedback from membership to continuously improve processes;


• Develop networking opportunities for the BMA Community through alliances with internal groups, greater Chicagoland groups, and peer Business School groups;


• Utilize and develop Kellogg Black Alumni Association to provide additional opportunities for interaction between current students and Alumni and among the Alumni community itself.


• Further strengthening our relationships with TMP and EMP students of African descent.

Kellogg’s Evening & Weekend Black Management Association (BMA) group’s mission is to create a community that supports, develops, and advances Black leaders through their Kellogg journey and beyond. BMA delivers on these goals by leveraging academic and professional resources that provide opportunities for our members to grow via networking, social events, and engagement with senior leaders and alumni across varied fields of interest.

We foster a community that empowers students to celebrate their authentic selves and see the value in their identities.

We also push to redefine the status quo within these walls by driving the urgency of change to the greater student body, faculty, staff and Kellogg community. We will achieve this by being visible, adding value, and sharing our voice.

Brew 'n Q. Simple, yet complex. Rugged, yet refined. Our goal is to share with the Kellogg community our passion for all things beer and BBQ. Through a star-studded calendar of events, we endeavor to educate the student body on the ancient art of the grill and joys of global beers. We are proud to host such Kellogg favorites as the annual Turkey Bowl, Chili Cook-off, Crawfish Boil and Spring Luau, among others. To create a group where Kellogg students can learn the Afro-Brazilian martial art of Capoeira, a 400-year old martial art created by enslaved Africans in Brazil.

Capoeira is a dynamic martial art that involves acrobatics, music and language acquisition skills.

• We hold weekly classes open to all members of the community, teaching the musical and language skills in addition to the physical skills necessary to practice Capoeira and other martial arts
