Welcome back, everyone, and hello to the next crop of Kellogg Kohorts, the class of 2013!!

There are a number of events planned this weekend as well as the rest fo the quarter. Here is information about the confirmed events as well as a sneak peak ones still being confirmed:

THIS WEEK!!!!

•  Fri, Jul 9 Concert in the Park: Join your colleagues for a free concert in the park at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park sponsored by the Arts & Culture Club from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Visit Kellogg Groups for information and to RSVP.  

• Sat, Jul 10 Kellogg Kohorts Presents: Lunch Speaker Jim Reiman: Mr. Reiman is the former Chairman & CEO of EBT Mobile China plc and the founder & Chairman of Aerofficient, LLC. He will speak on Managing When You Don’t Speak the Language: Experiences in China and with Engineers. If you are signed-up as a Kellogg Kohort, you should have received an email invite. Click the RSVP box at the bottom to secure your spot and learn more.

• Sat, Jul 10 IT Walk-In: Bring your laptop to get help with access at Weiboldt, e-mail, Blackboard, etc. IT help is located in the 1st floor Resource area across from the mailroom. If you can't make it this week, no worries... this service will be available EVERY Saturday in the Quater from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Fri, Jul 16 Women in the MBA: Watch for more information in eNews.

• Sat, Jul 24 Manager’s Pub Lunch: Save the date for a lunch sponsored by the administration, just in time for a well-deserved mid-term break! Watch e-News for more details.

• Quarterly Kohorts Lunch: We’re still confirming the details on this one, so watch for an e-mail with the specific date & location.

• Sat, Jul 31 Summer Bash: Bring your friends, significant others, alumni, and guest and join your fellow Evening and Saturday students for KPTSA’s 2^nd Annual Kellogg Summer Bash at John Barleycorn’s from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m., featuring a 3-hour open bar, delicious appetizers, a charity raffle with prizes, and live music from the band Evenskies. Portions of ticket and all raffle proceeds will benefit Urban Prep. Here’s the link for tickets (pre-sale tickets are $25) and more information.

• Sat, Aug 7 Kellogg Kohorts Presents: Lunch Speaker Michael Byrnes: Gen. Byrnes is the former President of Tyco International, China; the former Defense Attache for China and Mongolia to the US Embassy in Beijing; and a US Army Brigadier General (Ret.). Watch for the e-mail with more information and a RSVP link to register for this KELLOGG KOHORTS event.

•  Sat, Aug 7 “One Kellogg” BoDeans Concert: Bring a friend or significant other and join your colleagues from the Full Time, Part Time, and Exec MBA programs for a night of live music at Ravinia. For tickets ($28) and more information, click on this link from KPTSA.  

• Sat, Aug 14  Lunch and Watch the “Air & Water Show” on the Lake:  We’re still in the midst of planning this one, but wanted to give you a heads-up. We’ve got a fantastic location (school, of course) to watch the show, and we are looking to coordinate lunch orders with Potbelly so that we can get together, eat, watch the show and have some fun during lunch! Stay tuned.

• Sat, Aug 21 Boat Cruise: Save the date for this very popular KPSTA annual boat cruise on the lake! Watch e-News for more details. You don’t want to miss this one… it’t the social event of the summer!

We welcome your input and suggestions on the events and programs we schedule. Please contact our board via Kellogg Groups, or stop one of your officers in the hallways or class… and share your thoughts. We are committed to scheduling and developing programs that are what YOU want. Help us get there.

2010 WINTER GETAWAY!

You thought we had forgotten the marquee event of the Kohorts experience? We are currently in planning stages and are evaluating a few locations; we hope to announce the final selection in the next month. We are excited about all of the possibilities and encourage you to stay tuned for more details. Also, if you are interested in helping to plan the trip we’d love to take you up on the offer. Finally, you may know that our funding is tied directly to our membership levels on Kellogg Groups. So, the more students signed-up means more money for events for you!
