Greetings PT-BMA family:

I hope my message finds you well and that you remain safe and warm from this winter storm.

Nominations are now open for Part-Time Black Management Association officer positions and your club needs you! Why should you consider leadership with the PT-BMA? After reorganizing in 2009 and implementing new programming in 2010, the PT-BMA needs passionate leaders to carry on the torch. Club leadership:

Helps you hone leadership and communication skills
Gives you visibility with other students, staff members and alumnus within the Kellogg community

Refer to the attached PDF file to review the PT-BMA’s goals and objectives as well as detailed descriptions of the roles and responsibilities for each officer position. Submit your nominations anonymously via the survey link at the bottom of this email by February 13, 2011. Some other deadlines to consider are as follows:

February 20, 2011: Nominees will be notified and allowed to accept or decline the nomination.
February 27, 2011: All candidates will have an opportunity to submit a brief (i.e. 2-3 sentences) written description of his / her platform describing the initiatives s/he hopes to implement during the current academic year. While the platform brief will be optional, the descriptions will be included with the final ballot to help members select candidates during the actual election.
March 4-11, 2011: Elections will be held via electronic ballot.
April 9, 2011: The executive boards will officially transition.
