Screening of Poverty, Inc. The Africa Business Club and the Net Impact Club are thrilled to screen Poverty, Inc! Co-Producer, Mark Weber, will be at the screening. MSSIC: Morgan Stanley Sustainable Investing Challenge (http://sustainableinvestingchallenge.org/) This Friday the Kellogg Floating Green Capital team, which already beat 117 other teams to make it to the final 10, is going to London to compete in the MSSIC. Their fund proposal would finance controlled environment agriculture systems in the US by converting distressed urban real estate into hydroponic farms, and obtaining equity in the farm operators. The Joseph Initiative | Summer Internship Deadline The Joseph Initiative Limited (JI) is a grain trading and agricultural services company with operations throughout Western Uganda. As an integrated supply chain for agricultural commodities, the JI purchases, processes, bulks, and markets maize, capturing integration efficiencies and effectively managing quality. The JI leverages a network infrastructure of rural maize aggregation centers called Joseph Centers and centralized processing to more efficiently source and handle maize produced by smallholder farmers (80% of the primary producers throughout East Africa) and cut post-harvest losses due to insufficient quality management capabilities.
