This chat will be held in-person at the Kellogg Global Hub. Once re-confirmed, selected students will receive room location details via an outlook invitation.

The Lavin Bernick Executive Chat series gives Kellogg students an opportunity to engage with an esteemed executive or civic leader presenting his or her perspectives on leadership. The sessions are dialogue-driven, and informal, with a limited number of seats available at each session. They provide an intimate forum for in-depth conversations and student interaction.

SELECTION PROCESS

  • This session is open to FT & EW Kellogg MBA students.
  • Your registration indicates your interest to attend.
  • 25 Attendees will be selected using a lottery system in accordance with event capacity.
  • If randomly selected, you will be notified via email and required to re-confirm that you will attend within 24 hours.

Tony Ezell serves as EVP, President of the Americas for BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), a leading global medical technology company headquartered in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. In this role, he leads BD U.S., Canada and the LATAM regions and the Global Marketing organization and is responsible for an integrated commercialization approach to how we prioritize and deliver on customer needs. He is also a member of the BD Executive Leadership Team.

Tony Ezell serves as EVP, President of the Americas and for BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), a leading global medical technology company headquartered in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. In this role, he leads BD U.S., Canada and the LATAM regions and the Global Marketing organization and is responsible for an integrated commercialization approach to how we prioritize and deliver on customer needs. He is also a member of the BD Executive Leadership Team.  



Prior to BD, Ezell spent more than 27 years at Eli Lilly and Co., where he built a strong track record in sales, marketing, and business leadership, having led U.S. hospital businesses before assuming the role of chief customer officer. He went on to serve as chief marketing officer for Lilly’s Elanco Animal Health business prior to its spinoff and most recently led Lilly’s U.S. Connected Care and Insulins business as VP/GM.  



Ezell has global operational experience, having lead organizations as large as 1,200. Additionally, he has a passion for people, as demonstrated by his history of building high performing teams and by his history of developing deep customer understanding and translating that understanding into meaningful brand campaigns. He is experienced in leading major transformation that spans business units, functions, and geographies.  



Tony currently serves on the board of the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), is a former member of the Board of Trustees for Brebeuf Jesuit High School, the Board of Directors for the Catholic Medical Mission Board and the KPMG Healthcare Advisory Board. He is also the former Chairman of the UNCF Indianapolis Leadership Council. He served on the Board of Directors for the Health Forum, Inc. from 2006 to 2012.  



He has a degree in Business Administration from the School of Business and Industry (SBI) at Florida A & M University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
