SNAP Challenge Dinner

Think you can create a nutritious meal on a budget? Join a group of students for a shopping and cooking experience to gain insight into the lives of more than 42 million Americans who rely on federal food assistance programs to cope with food insecurity.

We will gather at the Global Hub to learn about food insecurity in America, focusing on the US food assistance program SNAP, formerly known as food stamps. Students will walk to the grocery store to shop within the allocated SNAP budget to devise a meal for their group, before cooking and eating together at a student host's home.
