Creating edgy, attention-grabbing marketing is hard. Breaking taboos can make some consumers laugh out loud but can make others threaten to boycott. Not to mention, many of a company’s senior decision-makers are not willing to take the risk of offending anyone, so they need to be convinced that an edgy idea is the right way to go. For this Marketing at the Leading Edge event, Jill Dexter, Brand Director at ConAgra foods, will discuss her work with the Slim Jim brand. She’ll be joined by Professors Derek Rucker and Kent Grayson to talk about the careful balance that companies often need to strike when creating marketing content, and the techniques that are needed to get the balance right.
