Event Details
You have likely walked by the Rotary International HQ in Evanston and seen the advertisements for the End Polio Now Campaign in the lobby. You may have also seen "This Close" advertisements from Bill Gates or Manny Pacquiao. Join the Healthcare Club for a presentation and discussion with Kris Tsau, Advocacy Specialist at Rotary International as we learn about how Rotary International has reduced polio cases by 99% worldwide since their first project to vaccinate children in the Philippines in 1979. Kris will lead a discussion on the challenges and rewards of running a global effort to eradicate polio. Key topics will include how Rotary has successfully engaged public and private organizations in the campaign, and how Rotary has positioned and marketed the program to maximize exposure.

Lunch will be provided!
