Evan Norton is a Divisional Vice President with Abbott Ventures. Prior to joining Abbott Ventures in 2011, he was a Principal with ONSET Ventures focused on medical technology investing. Evan has a diverse background of experience in medical technology including the orthopedics, diabetes and ear, nose and throat markets. Evan also worked at Acclarent, Inc. focused on bringing new products to patients with chronic sinus conditions. He has also worked for Johnson & Johnson's diabetes company, LifeScan Inc., and incubated a new product line while with the endoscopy division of Stryker Corporation.
In addition to his medical device experience, Evan worked for Compaq Computer Corporation's Strategic Investments group, the Investment Banking Group at J.P. Morgan & Co and in the consulting practice at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Evan holds an MBA degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University, cum laude. He currently serves on the Innovation and New Ventures Advisory Board at Northwestern University.

SPRIG Consulting, is led by Katie Arnold, a strategic marketing professional with 20 years of healthcare experience. Katie has worked with medical technology companies ranging from venture-backed start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Throughout her career, she has focused on the entire spectrum of commercialization needs: from upstream market development strategy to downstream product launch execution.
Katie founded SPRIG in 2008 in Silicon Valley in response to the emerging needs of early-stage medical technology start-ups to navigate company development with limited resources and strict financial constraints. Since SPRIGÔÇÖs inception, Katie and her team have produced clear, measurable results for an exciting roster of clients. The team has experience across a broad range of therapeutic spaces and offers a variety of services including business and clinical development, marketing and reimbursement strategies.
Prior to founding SPRIG, Katie had a successful career with Guidant Corporation (acquired) and Kensey Nash Corporation (acquired) launching novel technologies. Katie holds an MBA from Northwestern UniversityÔÇÖs Kellogg Graduate School of Management where she was awarded the Health Industry Management Scholarship. Katie is also a Kellogg lecturer and teaches a graduate-level course on medical product commercialization. Katie holds a BA from the University of Vermont.
