The Chicago Life Sciences Consortium (CLSC) is a business formation, recruitment and acceleration initiative that was designed to grow health care and life sciences companies. The Consortium focuses on emerging biotech, device, diagnostic and therapeutic companies, as well as healthcare services and IT firms. CLSC is organizing a small high level networking event featuring Chicago’s preeminent healthcare and life science senior executives and entrepreneurs. Their hope is to connect around 100 of the current leaders in the industry with 100 of the future leaders in an intimate and high-end social event. We are inviting a select group of students from Feinberg and Kellogg, as well as the Uof C Pritzker School of Medicine and Booth School of Business. Midwest Cleantech Open's Accelerator | ||

Each year, Cleantech Open fosters entrepreneurs and inventors within its flagship emerging business accelerator. The over 1,000 past participants in the Cleantech Open have gone on to raise over $1 billion dollars of external funding. The accelerator program offers participants world-class training and publicity, and prize packages are awarded to over 20 companies valued at $10,000 regionally to a national grand prize valued at $200,000. Summer internships within Sales and Marketing at MyMenu | ||
Marketing intern – create a social media calendar and execute social media campaign with goal of increasing users by 5% per week. Duties will include sourcing original continent and leveraging industry experts to repost their content. Based on your experience and time commitment, you can work on our blog, Facebook page, Twitter and Pinterest accounts. Lastly we’d like assistance looking into different channels to expose the MyMenu brand. Sales Intern – responsibilities will include sourcing meeting with restaurants, selling the MyMenu private label app to restaurants and getting restaurants to provide their allergy free menu items to input into the MyMenu database. We’ll need your help developing a sales script and any supplemental information to help support the sales effort. Additionally we’ll look for help with our user acquisition strategy. Immediate short paid project - Farmhouse: Leo Burnett | ||
One of the project teams at Farmhouse is seeking to engage a Kellogg student on a particular project, pretty much now. The student should have good financial and strategic skills and an interest in innovation, as well as some intuition for popular culture. This person would help with some marketplace intelligence, business analytics, and business model development for a really interesting project to completely reimagine, redesign, and relaunch a well-known media property. The property has been living (more or less) in the analog world and has to become vital and relevant in the emerging digital/content/experiential world. We will pay a fair market fee for this person’s time - we are not looking for a “freebie." Guessing about 5(ish) hours per week will be required over the next 4-5 weeks or so. The first company is a very early-stage (pre-revenue) agricultural technology business based in Florida. Looking for someone to step in with the technical founder (a UofF professor) to help prove out the technology and bring it to market. The ideal candidate has good knowledge of, if not experience in, the agriculture space. The second company is a revenue generating industrial services business based in Chicago. For this one there is an experienced Chairman in place, and they’re looking for a young, hungry executive with industrial experience and hopefully an ops focus to step in and help improve and build out day-to-day execution.
