Curious how state legislation drives energy efficiency and clean energy adoption at the state-level? Want to find out how a large utility thinks about sustainability? Come hear Exelon's Senior VP Corporate Strategy and Chief Sustainability Officer Chris Gould talk about the changing landscape of energy in the U.S. and specifically in Illinois. Chris will highlight elements of Illinois' Future Energy Jobs Bill (SB 2814), a sweeping state energy bill passed in December 2016 that was widely praised by clean energy advocates (Greentech Media). Among other things, the bill included provisions to keep nuclear power plants operational, expand energy efficiency programs, and update the state's renewable portfolio standards (RPS). As Senior VP Corporate Strategy and Chief Sustainability Officer at Exelon, Chris Gould is responsible for developing the power generator's corporate growth and sustainability strategies. Exelon operates one of the nation's cleanest power generation fleets and is a major investor and developer of renewable energy. Exelon is the nation's 12th largest wind energy producer and a major developer of solar energy, including through its Constellation business unit.

The Energy Club is proud to host Chris as part of its Exelon Sustainability Seminar Series. Lunch will be served.
