A Fortune 500 Startup

Join us for the second event in the 2017-2018 Brave Leader Series, featuring a conversation with Jim Lico ’97, President & CEO of Fortive Corporation.

After two decades as a leader with the $20B Wall Street darling, Danaher Corporation, Jim Lico ’97 answered his phone to an offer from the CEO: Take a part of Danaher, create a new, $6B Fortune 500 company, and do it all over again.

In this exclusive chat between Kellogg Dean, Sally Blount ’92, and Fortive CEO, Jim Lico, hear how Jim approached this incredible opportunity to create Fortive. Re-imagining the business to accelerate progress and innovation, Jim stood up one of the most dynamic, global, growth-oriented companies in the industrial space.

As founding president and chief executive officer, Jim drives Fortive’s overall vision, drawing on two decades of deep experience at Danaher. Jim serves on the board of directors of NetScout Systems, a publicly traded network technology company based in Boston. He holds a BS from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
