About Us

We are a conglomerate of student-led initiatives at Kellogg that focus on providing aid to businesses, non-profits, and the community in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

About Us: We started as a small group of student volunteers looking to combat the economic impact of the COVID crisis with our MBA skills - We are now a movement of 1000+ MBA students from 20 schools around the world who believe that leadership requires service and that our skills can improve our communities.

To date, we've provided support to over 1,700 small businesses and non-profits through short-term pro bono engagements.

Service Teams

Students form small teams across schools and pitch their expertise to clients that sign up for medium-term (e.g., weeks to months-long) bespoke consulting support. Service teams support non-profits, governments, and businesses.

Previous Service Team response projects include:

  • Forecasting PPE and testing supplies + organizing operational flow for non-profit healthcare provider serving low-income patients
  • Budgeting, profit/loss projections, and virtual class marketing strategy for yoga studio going virtual. Allow Peaceful Peacock Yoga to continue healing their physically and mentally disabled yogis
  • Operational strategy for clinical trial site in Brazil looking to secure trials for COVID-19

Small Business Strike Team

The Small Business Strike Team (SBST) is another, less time-consuming way to contribute to the MBA's Fight mission. Students provide 1-on-1 coaching to small businesses, often focused on immediate, COVID-related concerns (e.g., applying for PPP federal loans, digital marketing). Students also collaborate in small groups to meet each other and build expertise. Time commitment for this initiative can start at just a few hours.

Other Opportunities To Engage

  • Include MBA Response opportunities in your club newsletter or other forms of communication
  • Encourage students to volunteer to build real-world experience
  • Refer small businesses or organizations that need support to join the MBA Response
