Every year, a whopping 40% of food available to Americans is discarded. This is particularly an issue for concern when reportedly 20% of people in the US lack access to a nutritious diet. But the impact of wasted food extends well beyond our bellies. Almost a quarter of agricultural water is used to grow food that's not eaten. We generate the equivalent greenhouse gas emissions of 1 in 7 cars by growing, shipping & processing uneaten food. Cutting food waste in half globally could reduce our ecological footprint by 16% and ensure a more sustainable future.

Join us for a high-impact conversation about how companies are applying new technology to eliminate food waste. You'll learn from thought leaders in the space, including speakers from Bayer Crop Science, Hazel Technologies, IDEO and Farmer's Fridge, and will be inspired by the opportunities that are now available for students interested in entrepreneurship, business, and social impact. This panel will be moderated by Karin O'Connor, Clinical Assistant Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Kellogg.

Directly following the event we will be hosting small group lunches to discuss the panel content further. Please sign up for the small group lunches at the link below.
