Paula Kerger is president and CEO of PBS, the nation’s largest non-commercial media organization with nearly 350 member stations. Since her arrival in 2006, Ms. Kerger has made particularly strong commitments to the arts, news and public affairs, high-quality educational content for children and the classroom, diversity, and the use of new digital platforms to bring public media into the lives of all Americans. Ms. Kerger is also president of the PBS Foundation, an independent organization that raises private sector funding for PBS, and has become a significant source of revenue for new projects at PBS.

Ms. Kerger received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Baltimore, where she serves on the Merrick School of Business Dean’s Advisory Council. She has received honorary doctorates from Washington University in St. Louis,Grand Valley State University, and Allegheny College.

She is a director of the International Academy ofTelevision Arts and Sciences and Chair of the board of the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History.


The Lavin Bernick Executive Chats series gives Kellogg students an opportunity to engage with an esteemed executive or civic leader presenting his or her perspectives on leadership. The sessions are meant to be dialogue-driven, and informal, with a limited number of seats available at each session. They provide an intimate forum for in-depth conversations.


Given the exclusive nature of this event and top-tier caliber of the speaker, your registration shows a commitment to attend for the duration of this event. These sessions are open to full-time Kellogg students only.
