RealClearPolitics is a Chicago-based political news and polling data aggregator formed in 2000 by former options trader John McIntyre and former advertising agency account executive Tom Bevan. The site features selected political news stories and op-eds from various news publications in addition to commentary from its own contributors. The site's founders say their goal is to give readers "ideological diversity".
Tom has been heavily involved in the recent elections and we are excited he is taking a quick break to visit us and share his experience with RealClearPolitics, perspective on the role and challenges for the press, and insights about the current political context.
In addition to overseeing the editorial staff and writing regular features for RCP, Tom's work has appeared in numerous publications and he is featured frequently as a political analyst on Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, and the BBC. Tom hosts a weekly radio show on politics on 89 WLS in Chicago, and co-hosts RealClearPolitics on SiriusXM's POTUS channel. He is also co-author with Carl Cannon of two eBooks on Election 2012: "The Battle Begins" and "A Time for Choosing".
