During this session, students will also experience “Rejection in the Wild” - a real life rejection-seeking exercise in downtown Chicago. Jia will take students down a path where rejection is deliberately and actively sought. The surprising answers may teach you something you have never thought about before and propel you to explore relationships and resources in creative and fruitful ways. All you have to do is ask!
Rejection is one of the top fears that holds most people back from realizing their potential and accomplishing their dreams. Overcoming the fear of rejection is key for students as well as all business professionals to have and develop successful careers.
Take it from entrepreneur, TED speaker, and author Jia Jiang. He faced rejection head-on and turned into an opportunity with his "100 Days of Rejection" experiment during which he sought rejection after rejection.
In this dynamic workshop you will learn:
· To embrace rejection, use as a tool, and turn it into an advantage· Learn the secrets of successful asking, how to pick targets, and how to tell when an initial “no" can be converted into something positive· How to set goals to open new and unexpected opportunities
