Objectives:
• For MMM Students: Build exposure to The Q, apply coursework concepts, and develop product intuition critical for career development.
• For The Q: Generate commercialization ideas, identify talent, and test student collaboration models for future events and course opportunities.
• For MMM Leadership: Strengthen experiential learning and explore course application.
Event Structure:
1. Welcome + The Q Lab Introduction (10 min)
2. Technology Briefing (10 min)
3. Breakout Workshop (60 min)
4. Group Presentations (20 min)
5. Networking & Social (45 min)
Open to all MMMs in the Class of 2028 or 2027
Example Technologies/Opportunities:
• Deepfake detection system with human-in-the-loop verification
• AI video dubbing platform that handles translation and lip-sync to/from any language
• Protective malware defense through adversarial AI training
• Battery and energy storage enhancements for clean manufacturing
• Physical AI foundation model for motion design
• Medical Device supporting patient rehab post stroke
Deliverables:
Students should focus on developing one of the following for their chosen technology/startup and be prepared to share out their ideas with INVO Leadership & Entrepreneurs:
• Beachhead market: what is the most defensible starting place for this opportunity and why? How will the company establish a foothold and what needs to be true for this to be possible?
• Funding pathways: How should the company be funded (e.g. Grants, VC investment, strategic corporate partnerships, self-funded, etc.)? Why is this the best fit?
• Go-to-Market Strategy / Product Roadmap: How should the company scale? What markets should it expand to, and what features / capabilities will be required to capture share?
Students may choose to develop slides, a financial model, a roadmap document, or some other supporting materials to articulate their ideas. Presentations should be no longer than 5 minutes.
