Ronald McDonald House Meals from the Heart

Join us at the Ronald McDonald House near Lurie Children's Hospital on Saturday, January 20th, as we prepare a home-cooked lunch for the families staying at the House as part of the Meals from the Heart program. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana® (RMHC-CNI) is an independent not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to care for families of children with complex medical needs by providing a place to stay while their child is being treated in the hospital. Allowing families to stay close to their child in the hospital supports the child's health and well-being while saving families hotel and food costs. Meals From the Heart allows families to dine and unwind so they can be refreshed for their child in the hospital, without the worry or time to prepare a meal for themselves.

Date: Saturday, January 20th
# of Volunteers Needed: Up to 20 (min of 10)
Time: 10:30am – 1:30pm (includes prep, service, clean up) - anyone taking Saturday afternoon classes can leave at 12:30
