Series B is a platform for entrepreneurs, Kellogg students, and alumni to talk about founding, funding, and growing startups. This special Series B presentation will be held in the White Auditorium, and will be moderated by Professor Karin O'Connor.  This event is open to Kellogg students and staff to participate.

Co-sponsored by KIEI, ARC, and the Kellogg Women’s Leadership Program.  Lunch will generously be provided by the Kellogg Women’s Leadership Program.

Panelists:
Kathryn Bernell '18 a current Kellogg MBA student who is the founder of reBLEND, a smoothie business that delivers products which not only taste good, but do good too via functional smoothies that deliver the fuel people need to better win their day. Each nutrient dense smoothie radically tackles food loss by using delicious misshapen produce that unescecarily would go to waste. We craft our functional smoothie blends with fruits and vegetables that are frozen at their peak ripeness so that all you have to do is dump the pouch in a blender, add liquid, and reBLEND!

Steve Lane ‘16 a Kellogg alum and founder of FlyHomes, a real estate and technology company that has a built a buyer’s platform that is fueled by speed, subject matter expertise, and incredible rewards. Going against the “generalist” model of traditional real estate brokerages, FlyHomes’ has a technology inspired team-based approach to real estate, providing every client a dedicated local expert that works alongside specialists in pricing research, negotiations, marketing, touring, and software engineering. FlyHomes' technology, partnerships, and team-based approach allows homebuyers to take on-demand tours, close within 7-days, and regularly win offers more often and at a lower price than using a traditional real estate firm.

Noah Bleicher '15 a Kellogg alum and founder of Viet Nom Nom, a Vietnamese fast food restaurant located Evanston with a focus on providing the community with a healthy, inexpensive dining option.  In addition to providing healthy and affordable food, Viet Nom Nom has partnered with hiring organizations within the LGBTQ community as well as with Curt’s Cafe, a group devoted to developing skillsets in at-risk youth.

Moderator:
Karin O'Connor is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Kellogg, and the founder of Perimeter Advisors, an advisory firm that assists owners of promising mid-market companies with planning and execution of value enhancement strategies, and is also an active investor in and advisor to early-stage companies and entrepreneurs.
