Improv for Design Thinking

Improv and Design Thinking may seem totally unrelated. When we hear “improv,” we think Whose Line is it Anyway; when we hear “Design Thinking,” we think IDEO. If you dig deeper, though, you’ll find that the two spaces are closely linked. Improvisation is the most human-centric form of comedy. The same techniques that underpin improvisation are at the root of core design thinking processes. Come spend an hour next week learning improvisation techniques that sit at the intersection of comedy and design from our very own, Abhishek Ravi and Tim Luo. They’ll share tactics that originated at the Stanford d.school and were taught at the Improv Company in Singapore!
