Ravin Gandhi is founder and CEO of GMM Nonstick Coatings, one of the world's largest suppliers of nonstick coatings to the $9B housewares industry. Each day, over 40M Americans use GMM coatings when they cook on iconic brands such as Calphalon, KitchenAid, Farberware, George Foreman, Black and Decker, Wilton, Sunbeam, and Pyrex. In 2017, GMM was acquired by SDK, a $7B Japanese conglomerate, which was the largest buyout in the history of the nonstick coatings industry. Mr. Gandhi has remained the CEO of GMM subsequent to the deal.
Mr. Gandhi also moonlights as a venture capital investor. Ravin was the first investor in KeyMe, a manufacturer of robotic kiosks that is revolutionizing the $8B locksmith industry, and has raised over $100M in funding. Mr. Gandhi also was an early investor in Hester Biosciences, an animal health company that has subsequently gone public.
Ravin frequently appears on CNBC, CNN, and MSNBC to discuss business and politics, and is a contributing writer for Entrepreneur Magazine, and Fortune Magazine.
Mr. Gandhi started his career at KPMG before joining Coatings and Chemicals Corporation (CCC), a family owned supplier of nonstick coatings. In 2001, CCC was sold to Akzo Nobel, the world's largest coatings company, in a deal conceived of and executed by Mr. Gandhi. Mr. Gandhi was named President of the merged entity Akzo Nobel Nonstick Coatings, becoming (at age 28) the youngest Divisional President in the history of Akzo Nobel.
