Mike Schlund

Michael Schlund is an Engagement Manager with The Chartis Group. His consulting experience has been primarily focused in the strategy practice working with leading integrated health systems and community hospitals.
His most recent work has included ambulatory network strategy, partnership planning, funds flow strategy, and ambulatory access & operations strategy. His experience has spanned pediatric hospitals, academic medical centers, and community health systems.
Prior to joining The Chartis Group, Mr. Schlund worked in finance for seven years. At a firm in Chicago, he traded U.S. Treasury bonds and managed the fixed income division.
Mr. Schlund holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he majored in Health Enterprise Management and earned Special Competency in Health Enterprise Excellence. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University.
Brian Mulligan
Consultant
The Chartis Group
Brian Mulligan is a Consultant with The Chartis Group. He recently advised an academic medical center on strategic alignment initiatives and developed advanced financial modeling to support funds flow. His consulting experience includes strategic service line planning in orthopedics and oncology, market entry assessment for a pediatric hospital and healthcare analytics due diligence for a clinically integrated network start-up.
Prior to his work with Chartis, Brian served as a Senior Wealth Strategy Associate and Strategic Business Analyst with UBS Financial Services, where he advised UBS clients, managed a California municipal bond portfolio, engaged in client business development, and helped launch a new trading platform.
In addition, Mr. Mulligan serves as the Associate Board President for the Illinois Chapter of the CrohnÔÇÖs and Colitis Foundation of American and sits on the chapter board.
Mr. Mulligan holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he majored in Health Enterprise Management and Finance. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Bucknell University.
