During their time at Kellogg, many students in the Evening & Weekend program will amplify their careers and transition from independent contributors to managers. This combination virtual, self-paced tutorial and live Career Lab prepares you for the shift in mindset and priorities that accompany your first management role. This program is designed for new managers and KSA and Kellogg Student Club leaders, those about to be promoted to management positions, and/or those managing entrepreneurial ventures including building and leading teams. All program participants should be managing others by the time of the in-person Career Lab. The virtual tutorial is framed around a workplace challenge and includes three modules that: * Familiarize you with the various aspects of managing for the first time * Boost your efficacy in your new role as you manage up, down and across the organization * Create awareness of personal leadership styles * Create awareness of communication styles and effective ways of delivering and asking for feedback Total time commitment: 4-6 hours * Three virtual learning modules comprised of readings, videos & exercises (3-4 hours, before the session) * Attend the live, virtual Career Lab experiential session (90 minutes)
