About the presentation:
This presentation features a unique perspective and opportunity to learn about Google's data centers, Energy & Infrastructure teams and Google's focus on climate, sustainability and clean energy, as well as functions within these teams.

About Our Speaker:

Joniel Cha works on Energy & Infrastructure at Google, supporting Google's moonshot goal for hourly matching of 24/7 carbon-free energy procurement and promoting advanced clean electricity technologies (including small modular nuclear reactors, advanced geothermal, long-duration energy storage, etc.) to meet explosive demand of data centers.

He has over 9 years of professional experience including at Deloitte, S&P Global Platts, Energy Storage Association, Environmental Defense Fund, U.S. Department of the Treasury, U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Department of Energy, Clean Water Action, Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, Eurasia Foundation, Transparency International, etc.; and holds a Masters degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (concentrations in International Economics and Energy, Resources & Environment) and a Bachelors degree from the University of Virginia (majors in Leadership & Public Policy and Foreign Affairs). Joniel lived in post-Soviet Eurasia for 11 years: Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Ukraine.
