From LOI to Close: A Searcher's Perspective

Join Robin Mohapatra of Relay Investments, a search fund investor, and Jineet Gandhi, a Kellogg alum and searcher turned CEO, for a conversation on navigating the path from LOI to closing an acquisition, and all things in between.
 

Jineet Gandhi is the CEO of Park Dietz & Associates (PD&A), a forensic consulting and expert witness services firm. Jineet began his career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company across its Detroit and New York offices, where he spent seven years advising technology, media, and telecommunications companies and private equity portfolio companies on growth.

 

He earned his BBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management (‘21). After Kellogg and McKinsey, Jineet raised a traditional search fund and conducted his search from his hometown of Detroit.

 

In February 2026, Jineet acquired PD&A and relocated to Newport Beach, CA to lead the firm as CEO. PD&A works with a network of more than 150 expert physicians and other professionals to support leading law firms and government agencies on complex civil and criminal matters across psychiatry, psychology, social work, security, law enforcement, and other disciplines. Its experts include board-certified physicians, renowned professors, and seasoned practitioners who provide expert evaluation, reports, and testimony.
