KSA Update
This week kicks off Africa Week! From dancing, to art, foreign direct investment to the impact of aid, Africa Week 2015 is sure to give you new insight into the Rising Continent. Stay tuned for many exciting events that the Africa Business Club has planned for the week.
Monday: Buy your tickets for Battle of the Bands at 12:15pm: Battle of the Bands returns Friday, May 29th at the Vic downtown!! We compete with Booth on ticket sales and whoever sells out first gets to headline, and let’s be honest…we NEVER want to be Booth’s opening act!! Tuesday: Africa Week Social: 8:30pm-10pm: African Food Tasting @ McManus Lounge – Having Taste of Kellogg withdrawals? Sample some delicious African treats at McManus on Tuesday! 10pm-late: Africa Week Celebration @ 27Live – Featuring the latest and greatest dance music from the continent!

Featuring the ROCKET POCKETS & CAPTAINS OF INDUSTRY bands + all of your favorite childhood memories! Friday – Sunday: DAK Weekend / KWEST Fair TG for prospective students :The DAK team is excited to host the second showcase weekend for admitted students. The Exec Committee has been hard at work all year to make this year’s DAK a memorable experience for all of the admits! A critical part of the admitted student experience is engagement with current students. Please support the team and represent our school well this weekend!
JA-in-a-Day with Kellogg - EMPOWER AND INSPIRE : Join Kellogg volunteers to empower elementary school students by delivering relevant, hands-on lessons on financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship to classrooms in Budlong Elementary. Junior Achievement gives young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. Share your valuable experiences to empower and inspire children!
- What: Kellogg volunteers will be teaching grades k-8th
- Where: Budlong Elementary School
- When: Wednesday, April 29th from 9AM to 1PM
Volunteers will have the opportunity to sign up with a “buddy” and be in the classroom with their friends or JVs. Classroom training materials, transportation to the school and meals will be provided for all volunteers. Sign up HERE on Campus Groups and email Navi Sandhu or Taleen Sarkissian with any questions. Special K! Presents the 2015 Show - Special Kahos: Now in its 36th year, Special K! is a musical comedy show that parodies and celebrates life at Kellogg. With over 1,500 people in attendance and over 100 students involved in bringing the show to life, Special K! is the largest student organized event at Kellogg each year. Casino Ball 2015: Casino Ball is an awesome night of gambling and dancing while helping children in Nicaragua on Sat, May 9! Casino Ball is the spring formal for Kellogg students that raises funds for the Fabretto Foundation, an organization that supports impoverished Nicaraguan children and was started by a Kellogg Alum (Kevin Marinacci ’96). We’ll have 20+ gaming tables, great music by DJ XFade Entertainment and a chance to win many fantastic prizes.
