Given the attraction of low-cost technology interventions, what are the opportunities and challenges of using technology for social impact? What new hybrid business/ impact models can this movement create? Is the use of technology as the key driver of change appropriate for all organizations? How can existing impact organizations leverage technology to further their mission?

The second panel will explore the ways for-profit corporations, non-profit organizations and government agencies to work together in solving social issues. We will explore this collaboration through the lens of domestic hunger relief and discuss the innovative opportunities and unique challenges that can arise when multiple sectors work together to provide food to millions of people in need. What should be the roles of each sector in addressing the issue? How can they best work together to achieve common goals while preventing overlap? What are the gaps and who should be responsible for bridging those gaps? Finally, where are there opportunities for even greater collaboration?
Design for Social Change Workshop ...
Sara and George Aye from the Greater Good Studio will lead a workshop that will teach conference participants to tackle an issue directly related to one of the panel topics presented earlier in the day by using design thinking. Activities will include sketching, brainstorming and prototyping, skills that can be lead productive meetings and problem solving sessions.
