The Right Prescription for Value in Healthcare

November 9th, 2011

This year’s 12th Business of Healthcare Conference, “The Right Prescription for Value in Healthcare”, focuses on some of the most topical issues facing the healthcare industry.  In today’s environment, much attention is paid to healthcare costs while the value of the service or product often becomes secondary. The 2011 conference explores ways that value is currently created and destroyed in healthcare, and the implications that this has on the overall healthcare system. The conference will bring together professionals, academics, and students from all parts of the industry to engage in a variety of topics that focus on ways to enhance value and minimize loss in healthcare. The forum offers an invaluable opportunity to gain insights into the challenging issues that surround the healthcare industry as well as network with leading healthcare professionals.

This year’s conference will feature six panels that will focus on a variety of healthcare-related issues. Panelists will be encouraged to engage in relevant discussions covering a spectrum of topics across the industry. Emphasis will be placed on medical device innovation, the future of marketing to physicians, reimbursement models in care delivery, the application of design- thinking to healthcare, the role of technology in improving patient outcomes, as well as the various elements of today’s market environment that affect investment and advisory decisions in the healthcare space.

The conference will also host two keynote speakers who will share insightful commentary based on their industry experience and provide thoughts regarding the state of healthcare and its future. The conference will take place at the James L. Allen Center on November 9, 2011.
