Some of the most difficult and important decisions in the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people relate to “coming out” — that is, deciding to be open and honest about our sexual orientation, gender expression and gender identity.
Among GLMA members, there are people in several stages of the "coming out" process. We respect and value each of these individuals.
If you feel like talking to someone about "coming out" or want to hear about the experiences of GLMA members, send us an e-mail by clicking here. No one can tell you when or how to take the next step. It is a personal journey, but one you need not travel alone.
Similarly, if someone close to you - a parent, family member, co-worker or friend - is in the process of "coming out," both GLMA members and our allies are here to help you understand that process, and are happy to answer any questions sent to us by clicking here.
This is a CONFIDENTIAL e-mail address that will be accessed only by the GLMA co-presidents and your identity will be kept confidential. We understand how difficult this process may be to some people and want to ensure that you have a safe environment to ask questions and share your concerns.
